Meet the team
Ian Riddley

Chief Mechanic

Ian has a background in aviation and engineering, working on many projects for the Ministry of Defence and RAF and has been involved in the motorcycle trade for over 30 years. A commercial pilot for over 10 years, he has now semi-retired to concentrate on expanding REBZ. His aim is to bring similar standards of excellence, as enjoyed in the world of Aviation, to the Motorcycle world of the Scottish Borders. Originally from South Wales, Ian has settled locally where some of the best biking roads in the UK exist.

Dougie McCowan

Douglas joined the team at REBZ in 2016 in his current role as a motorcycle mechanic.  He is a lifetime biker from a family of bikers.  He rode his first motorcycle at the tender age of 7 and has remained passionate about the sport ever since.  A keen racing enthusiast, Doug worked as Pit Crew with Phase One Endurance between 2006 and 2009. During this time he travelled with the team to France in order to compete in the Le Mans and Bol-Dor 24 hour endurance races and also to Japan to compete in the Suzuka 8 hour endurance race.

Brenda Grieve

Locally born and bred, Brenda has travelled extensively, partly because of a career in the emergency services and partly because of a life long love of horsepower, both four legged and two wheeled.

Brenda is an experienced pillion with many miles under her belt on a huge variety of motorcycles from vintage to brand new. She takes care of the Administration side of the business and also makes a mean cuppa.

Dougie McCowan

ApprenticE Mechanic

Rory caught the motorcycling bug at age 12 when he started racing in minimoto competitions.  Things have progressed and he now competes in the Scottish CB500 championship. Rory joined the team in May 2017 for a week of work experience…… and never really left!!  He is now serving his apprenticeship with us whilst honing his considerable tea making (and motorcycle building) skills. In his spare time he enjoys performing on stage with various bands and theatrical projects.
